Dumpster Sizes

What’s the best dumpster size for me?

6-Yard Dumpster, Extra Small: Great for a single room cleanout, a bathroom remodel, or a small yard project. It fits in a driveway with room to spare.

10-Yard Dumpster, Small: Good for garage and attic cleanouts or a small remodel. It holds about 10 washing machines worth of debris.

15-Yard Dumpster, Medium: Our most popular size. Perfect for a full home cleanout, a roofing job, or a medium renovation.

20-Yard Dumpster, Large: Best for big construction or cleanout projects. It holds around 20 washing machines, so everything goes out in one haul.

A 20-yard dumpster can hold about 20 washing machines of 1 cubic yard each, and a 10-yard holds around 10. That comparison makes it easier to picture the size you need. Not sure which one fits your project? Call us and we will help you choose.

General Questions

A dumpster, also known as a roll-off container, is a metal box used to legally transport and remove general debris and discarded materials from residential or commercial sites.

You can keep the dumpster for up to one week, with the option to extend the rental period or request a new dumpster. If the dumpster becomes full before the end of the rental period, we may remove it earlier.

You may dispose of:

  • Household items

  • Construction debris

  • Dirt

  • Rock

  • Sod

  • Concrete

  • Mulch

  • Sand

  • Junk

  • Other non-hazardous materials

Some materials are strictly prohibited, such as liquids, chemicals, organic waste, paint, solvents, medical waste, and any hazardous materials generated from construction or renovation processes.

It’s important to estimate the approximate volume of debris your project will generate. This helps determine the most suitable dumpster size for your needs.

It depends on the size you choose, 6 yd, 10 yd, 15 yd, or 20 yd. Below is the approximate weight capacity for each dumpster size (actual capacity varies depending on the material):

  • 6-yard dumpster: holds about 2,000 lb

  • 10-yard dumpster: holds about 4,000 lb

  • 15-yard dumpster: holds about 6,000 lb

  • 20-yard dumpster: holds about 7,000 lb

Remember: A safety gap between the debris and the top edge of the dumpster is mandatory to ensure safe transportation. Any material exceeding this limit must be removed to prevent overflow during hauling.

The rental price depends on the dumpster size you choose and the delivery address.

All debris is taken to a licensed landfill and disposed of legally and safely.
